MY QUALIFICATIONS

I am registered as a Criminal Barrister but I practice full time as an Attachment and Jungian Therapist. I am Certified as a ‘Reliable Coder’ to score Adult Attachment Interviews for Reflective Function for both clinical and research purposes. I provide online 1:1 sessions as well as a Relationship and Attachment package which can help you identify attachment patterns and repair your attachment security. I am not a licensed mental health provider and I do not provide any medical advice.

Although I am heavily associated with Jungian Psychology, my training and practice also includes: Attachment, Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT), Complex Trauma (CPTSD), Narcissistic Personality Disorder, Somatic Experiencing, child behavior change and Neuroscience.

In addition to psychology, I have been a technology lawyer and a Family Violence and Criminal Barrister for over twelve years. I graduated with three university degrees including a Master of International Business Law (University of Helsinki), a Bachelor of Law (Monash University) and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Ancient Greek and Latin (Monash University). I also hold the post-graduate qualification of Barrister-at-Law and I am still a current Member of the Victorian Bar (Supreme Court of Victoria).

Psychology Training and Education

Jungian Psychology

I have completed the core components of Jungian Analyst (Psychoanalyst) training (300 hours of Jungian Analysis and core knowledge components). I am an independent Jungian practitioner and I am not associated with any institutes. Just like Robert Johnson, I trained with individual analysts and completed my analytic work and studies outside the Jungian institute structure.

I have deep knowledge and experience in Jungian Psychology and can help you with individuation, Jungian Analysis, dream analysis, shadow work, active imagination and alchemy. I am also the host of the ‘Harry Venice Psychology Podcast’ which focuses on Jungian Psychology, attachment, trauma and my views on modern life, philosophy, and making sense of our experiences in the modern world.

Attachment

I am Certified as a ‘Reliable Coder’ to score Reflective Function for Adult Attachment Interviews for both clinical and research purposes. I completed my training and certification under Professor Howard Steele at the Adult Attachment Interview Institute and the New School for Social Research University in New York.

I am in the process of becoming Certified as a Reliable Coder for scoring the entire Adult Attachment Interview for clinical and research purposes. I have completed the required AAI training under Professors Howard Steele and Miriam Steele at the Adult Attachment Interview Institute and the New School for Social Research University in New York.

I am also trained to score and assess Infant Attachment under Mary Ainsworth’s Strange Situation Procedure. I completed training provided by Professor Alan Sroufe at the University of Minnesota. I did not pursue certification.

Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT)

I have completed several core MBT trainings.

I have completed Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT) Practitioner Level Basic Training for MBT Therapists at the Anna Freud Centre. I was trained by Professors Peter Fonagy and Anthony Bateman, the co-founders of MBT.

I have also completed Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT) Practitioner Training specialised in the clinical treatment of Narcissistic Personality Disorder. I completed my training at the Anna Freud Centre and I was trained by Professor Anthony Bateman, Bob Dozrek, and Brandon Unruh.

In 2025 I completed 6 months of MBT Group Supervision at MBT Boston with Bob Drozek and Brandon Unruh.

Trauma and Complex PTSD (CPTSD)

I have researched and written a book on trauma and Complex PTSD (CPTSD). I am in the process of editing this book for publication.

My Attachment and MBT trainings also included trauma training. I also know and apply body-based therapies and techniques specifically for treating complex trauma.

Other trainings

For Parenting and child behavior change, I have completed the Parent Management Training provided by Alan Kazdin at Yale University (the ‘Kazdin Method’). These principles also apply for adult behavior change.
